Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tales have always captivated children and this August our Form I and II students had the opportunity to see “The Snow Queen” performed at our school.

Packed with action and great characters, the play was very enjoyable. A nasty and wicked troll, with his magic mirror which turned good into evil, opened the performace and both frightened and delighted students. The Snow Queen, Gerda and Kai were really easy to like. We loved having the possibility of the girls interacting with them; helping Gerda, shouting at the queen, reacting to their questions, hiding Kai. Among the songs, the favourites were "Like Brother and Sister" and "When I'm Happy".
It was a lovely experience, so much so that some Form I students reenacted it during a lunch break.
