Putting a play on stage requires a lot of effort. Making it a success requires even more.

It was early April when Form V students began their drama lessons, learning about breathing, body posture and ways of walking. The choir were given their lyrics and started memorising and practising them with Martin. Teachers in Primary helped with pronunciation and difficult vocabulary. Students in Secondary were invited to participate and several attended choir rehearsals during break time. Former students were contacted as costume and video designers. Sandra Belo, Secondary’s Art teacher, began her research for appropriate and colourful masks. By July the play was well underway.

Many say that today’s world is a jungle. If it truly is, we wish it is a jungle like the one in our remake of “The Lion King” where friendship and love went hand in hand in spite of “Scar’s” greed. If you joined young Simba in his quest for friendship, support, courage and ultimately happiness, we hope you enjoyed yourselves. If you didn’t we want to invite you to our play 2015. Something you cannot miss!
